Steampunk Butterfly Cut Page
Come and join me for a full day creating a fabulous double page spread in our journals.
We will cut our gorgeous butterfly design into our journals (a template will be provided for this) before embossing, stamping and stencilling to create our base pages.
We will be using the Paperartsy Mattints to build layers for our floral designs and will do some basic petal shaping to add some extra dimension to our page.
And don’t worry, as with all my classes you will have the option to change colours which means once assembled you will have a truly unique page to add to your journal.

Student Kit List:
Journal or card stock to work on (I worked in the large dylusions journal which is approximately A4 and you will need 2 consecutive double pages for this project)
Please note: the butterfly template provided in class is for this size journal)
Cutting mat
Craft knife
Scissors
Pencil
Sponges for stencilling and painting
Black waterproof ink pad (I use archival)
Brown waterproof ink pad (I use potting soil archival)
Ink blending tool (for edges)
Gold embossing powder (I use WOW)
Embossing ink pad (I use WOW)
Scrap paper (printer paper is fine)
2 sheets of white card stock (we will be painting and stamping on this)
Flat paint brush (3/4 to 1 inch is perfect)
Gold gel or paint pen (thin nib)
White gel or paint pen (thin nib)
White glue
3D foam pads (optional but I like to add dimension to my pages)
Foam mat and large ball stylus for petal shaping.
Water pot
Cloth or paper towel
Paint palette
Heat tool
